On this date, January 27 in the year 2006 the Grace Brethren Church of Lititz (aka Grace Church) paid off their $2.8 million mortgage. Pictured below is Karen Gromis delivering the final check to the bank this morning.
Following the example of our nation's calendar, while today is the actual date that we've paid off the mortgage, we won't celebrate the accomplishment until April. That said, there are probably some neat stories or reflections worth sharing with the rest of the church and those of us who've only become a part of Grace during the last few years.
